The History of Humphreys Concerts by the bay

CONCERT

Founded in 1982 by Rob Hagey as a jazz bar, the original Humphreys had just a couple of hundred plastic tables for concertgoers in San Diego. That didn't last long, though, because Humphreys Concerts by the bay quickly grew due to the popular demand for live music. By 1985, there were rows of chairs that could accommodate 650 fans, who could conveniently stay with us at Humphreys Half Moon Inn with the popular “concert and stay" packages. Today, the tradition continues with a 1,400 seat waterfront venue that has been sharing the stage with some of the best bands and artists in the world for over 40 years.

Past notable artists that have performed at Humphreys Concerts by the bay over the years include Alice Cooper, Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Buffett, John Legend, Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Dana Carvey, and so much more!
